Many thanks to everyone who helped make the
North Carolina Statewide Folklife Festival a success!
For the past century, the North Carolina Folklore Society has promoted the appreciation and study of our state’s folklife, and this year – the Society, along with the North Carolina Folklife Institute and their many partners honored this momentous anniversary with a daylong festival celebrating the vibrant communities of traditional arts and folklife throughout North Carolina.
This project was made possible in part by funding from The National Endowment for the Arts, the North Carolina Humanities Council, a statewide nonprofit and affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Conservation Fund’s Resourceful Communities Program, the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Cultural Resources, the Fox Family Foundation with substantial assistance from the Town of Carrboro and the Carrboro Recreation and Parks Department. Special thanks to our event partner – the Department of American Studies at UNC Chapel Hill.
