The Journal welcomes the submission of articles that study North Carolina folklore, analyze Southern literature, or whose rigorous methodology or innovative approach pertains to local folklife study. Manuscripts should conform to The MLA Style Manual. Quotations from oral narratives should be transcriptions of spoken texts and should be identified by informant, place, and date.
