Members of the NCFS receive a complimentary subscription to the North Carolina Folklore Journal. The Journal publishes articles, profiles of traditional artists, and book reviews exploring North Carolina’s traditions, local and emergent. Recent topics include music, intellectual property rights, social media, local trades, lowriders, foodways, dialects, and material culture.
The North Carolina Folklore Journal is published twice a year by the North Carolina Folklore Society with assistance from Western Carolina University and a grant from the North Carolina Arts Council, an agency funded by the State of North Carolina and the National Endowment of the Arts.
