2014 Annual Meeting

Join the North Carolina Folklore Society on October 11 for its annual meeting on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke! This year’s meeting, an annual tradition that dates back to our founSxSEding over 100 years ago, takes place in Pembroke for the first time in nearly 3 decades. The Folklore Society, along with the Native American Resource Center, the Department of American Indian Studies, and the Literacy Commons, all UNC-P Partners, will present a full day’s program on the theme: South by Southeast: You Ready to Listen?

We’ll welcome a variety of friends to speak to the particularities and promises of work, life, and culture both in Southeastern North Carolina and throughout the rest of our state.
